The Level Designer is responsible for designing and implementing the levels in accordance with the gameplay, flow as well as the player’s aesthetic experience based on criteria created by the Game Director, Art Director, and Game Designer.
In the pre-production phase, the Level Designer produces suggestions for levels in 2D in collaboration with and supervised by the Game Designer.
In the production phase, the Level Designer produces levels in 3D in the game engine in collaboration with the Game Designer and Game Programmer and supervised by the Art Director and Game Director.
The Level Designer is responsible for – in collaboration with the Game Director and Project Manager – to plan and estimate the work load in relation to the time and resources available.
The Level Designer is responsible for the parts of the design document relating to the level design supervised by the Game Designer.
The Level Designers come from Interactive, Digital Media at Aalborg University, Digital Design at Aarhus University, The IT University of Copenhagen and Medialogy at Aalborg University in both Copenhagen and Aalborg.
