SpilBar 14 is dedicated to surprises and the power of the unexpected. Shock and shake your definitions of what games are and can be. For this special edition of SpilBar we have moved the event to bigger surroundings at AFUK at the edge of Vesterbro.

Then: Holly Gramazio (Hide&Seek, UK): Six surprises – A look at six different moments of surprise in six different real-world games, from the shock of betrayal to the moment of unexpected victory.

Holly Gramazio is Lead Game Designer for Hide&Seek, a London-based

studio that makes games for streets, tabletops, browsers, smartphones,

parks, kitchens and anywhere else we can put them. 

She specialises in games with real-world elements, leading on projects ranging from 99 Tiny Games (site-specific games installed across London) to the New Year Games (a game for 12,000 players on the streets of Edinburgh on New Year’s Day). She also curates the Sandpit and the Weekender,

Hide&Seek’s events for artists and designers to test and show off new

game-based work.

 

About SpilBar

SpilBar is a bimonthly event, where everyone in or close to the computer games industry can meet and mingle. The meetings always start with a talk and end with a drink.

SpilBar is initiated by Kristine Ploug from DADIU and Thomas Vigild from The Danish Game Council (Dansk Spilråd). SpilBar is organized in collaboration with Spilordningen, and Computerspilzonen.
