Invitation: SpilBar 34: Everything is under Control

Join us for SpilBar 34 on May 4th about control in games. How we control games, what control means for the game experience, and how the default control schemes could be challenged.
We have invited a handful of Danish developers to share how they experiment with controls in games - and how well-designed controls in a game can harness the power of interaction to create particular emotions, stories, and gameplay experiences.

Invitation: SpilBar 30: Let's Go Outside

For the 30th time anniversary for SpilBar, we have invited American game designer, author and professor Eric Zimmerman. After the talk there will be lots of time to mingle - and there will be drinks and burgers. 
 

Invitation: SpilBar 29: Thank you for Playing

That Dragon, Cancer is a video game made by American developer Ryan Green about his son's struggle with - and in the end defeath to - cancer. 
The making of the game was documented by a film maker, and at SpilBar 29 the documentary 'Thank you for Playing' will be shown for the first time in Denmark.

At SpilBar 27 we take a look at toys to life-games. We have invited Creative Director for Digital Games Creative Development at LEGO Karsten Lund to a talk about the new game LEGO Dimensions, and assistant Professor at ITU Copenhagen Martin Pichlmair to talk about the trend.
