Come join us as the mini festival DADIU Days once again delves into everything game related. Through keynotes, talks and discussions, game developers, researchers, artists and industry professionals from across the country gather at The National Film School of Denmark and the Royal Danish Academy to share knowledge and explore how games are imagined, designed and brought to life.

Since its conception in 2005, DADIU (The National Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment) has strived to bring together educators, the game industry and tomorrow’s game developers in a semester-based program that fosters game production skills.

And as such, DADIU must reflect the needs of the gaming industry. But at the same time, DADIU must encourage critical reflection on how games are made, experienced and understood — and explore new approaches to the creative, artistic and technical challenges of game development.

This year, DADIU Days explores the forces that shape the games we make. From generating ideas to using constraints as a catalyst for creativity, the program looks at how limitations, technology, history and interdisciplinary thinking can open new possibilities. We will dive into worldbuilding, sound, visual storytelling, multiplayer development, creative coding and GenAI, while exploring the importance of curiosity, experimentation and critical thinking.

DADIU Days brings together the industry of today with the game developers of tomorrow to exchange knowledge, challenge established practices and inspire new ways of making games — reminding us that great ideas can come from anywhere, and that creative opportunities can sometimes be found within the smallest of boxes.

As always, the program for the two days is split down the middle with two separate tracks running at The Royal Danish Academy.

Admission is free but due to seating restrictions, it is necessary to register for the two-day event.
